And I am proud to have received the highest number of votes of any of the contested races at the Republican Endorsement Meeting on December 1st. Thanks to those members present who let me know that my ten years of service mean something.
I’ve never played politics with your money
I am campaigning on my 10 years of actual, hands on experience in the Clerk’s office, where I worked my way up from IT to Chief Deputy and saved our county hundreds of thousands of dollars with my sound administrative judgemnt and technology enhancements. I have 23 years of experience with the courts and have trained clerks and judges in 18 counties to do their jobs more efficiently. I have seen how other courts process their workloads and know that I can make our Clerk’s office more innovative and efficient.
Our biggest challenge is how to do our job for less. I have brought out-of-county car dealers to Butler County in my tenure, creating additional revenues. I have also worked on various projects to ensure reliable, efficient service. (Please see my Leadership and Accomplishments Pages)
My opponent has focused on negative campaigning and there comes a time when you have to defend against it.
What my opponent lists as “accomplishments” were actually directives:
She says: MILLION DOLLAR SURPLUS RETURNED
Fact: She inherited nearly $1M and ignored Commission Resolution 10-12-1812 to return surplus monthly beginning Jan 2011. She did return it…after I exposed it’s existence..8 months late. (see full story tab)
She says: BUDGET CUT TO NEW LOW
Fact: The OMB & Commissioners generally give a budget figure to county departments to meet or beat. In light of the deficit, my opponent’s number was directed to be dropped even further. (See Resolution 11-12-6225)
She says: UPGRADING OUTDATED COMPUTER SYSTEM
Fact: CourtView began upgrading county systems in our state in 2010. Butler County was due 1st quarter of 2011. As of this post; the upgrade is still not complete and our system runs unsupported; creating a huge risk to our records. (See CourtView Newsletters)
My opponent has been a politician for many years. I have dutily served this county for 10 years and have earned the endorsement of our Sheriff.
I AM A PUBLIC SERVANT, NOT A POLITICIAN.
You can make your decision based on the facts in the March 6th Republican Primary. Please return me to my roots, so we can get Butler County back on track.
I would appreciate your vote on March 6th as your next Clerk of Courts.
